this is a great little adaptor for those still in assault weapon banned states. basicly this has set screws that hold it in place on your non threaded barrel. this was bought from CMMG and is an excellent product. brand new, never installed. $25.00 shipped within the US.

yes, the threads are standard and will accomodate anything that a normal threaded barrel will accept.
 
post ban rifles were non threaded so, there wasnt a possibilty of adding flash suppressors or compensators and they look like this

but with this adaptor, you can set it up like this

so, this adaptor is perfect for someone who bought a rifle during the ban and doesnt want to have to buy a new rifle or those that are in states which still adheres to the ban and treats these rifles as assault rifles. having this is still technically in compliance with the assault weapons ban.
