Arc flashlight is no more.

Somehow I doubt peak will pick him up, since my understanding is it was started by the machine shop ARC owed money to and a previous employee of ARC.

Ouch. Guess not. Well, maybe Surefire or someone. Who knows? I was really getting into these lights and I'm a little bummed now because I don't have too much interest in these other companies, but I guess life goes on.

The Peak prototype is not quite as bright as the Arc AAA because they are not over driven like the Arc AAA, but that should give better run times. And the Peak prototype LED extends beyond the head slightly which may or may not be a problem.

Sad day for Peter, Merri, their staff and customers that's for sure.

It's a shame, no doubt about it. But I'm sure a man with his talents will turn up again and we'll all be the better for it.

Chiro, there's a ton of good stuff out there. Check out TNC products for one. Incredible little lights! And how about Brock, our own Jets22. His little N cell lights are very hot.

One of my customers called me today confirming an order for four Arc AAA (Turquoise) flashlights. He told me that Arc Flashlight went out of business. I was surprised but not shocked when I heard this news. I wish Peter and Merri well and, better luck in the future.

On a positive note, my supplier called me today with good news -- he found a batch of Arc flashlights.

-- 40 Arc AAA (White)
-- 20 Arc AAA (Red)
-- 20 Arc LSH-S
-- 10 Arc LSH-P

Wow, yesterday I looked at Pocketlights and they listed all their Arc stuff as "sold out." Probably pulled everytyhing to decide best how to sell it off. Thanks for the heads-up. Some European shops still have good selection, but shipping runs around $20 most of the time. Ouch!

Thanks, dkochan. Just spent $142 I didn't have. What a pal! I guess pocketlights is you. Anyway, at least I can use the AAA with red LED in my darkroom, so that's a business expense. I gotta get this balisong project off the ground and sell one so I can pay for all the toys I've been buying this week! Sheesh! :D
