How strong is it? Is it ambidextrious? How does it work? Does it use springs to hold the lock in place? When can I get a night vision?

Hi Dennis,

Our testing of the lock is that it is very, very strong! Ambidextrious? Yes! And there are springs to hold the Arc into the lock.

If you can find one, you can get it now. They have begun shipping.

You may wish to call our Consumer Services Department at (888) SOG BEST and get some likely dealers.

I've been playing with my models for over a week now and am extremely impressed! Smooth opening and closing. Secure in both open and closed position. Very fast to deploy. I don't need to be a SOG employee to get excited over this!

Hope this helps.

One more question and I will quit, I promise. Does it use Omega springs like the axis or "normal" springs?

The one I saw today had what looked like omega springs just like the AXIS LOCK!
