I just seen a Buck that was sold at the 25th get together..that was called a Archive knife. They were from Bucks archive and sold only to BCCI members. I wasn't able to make it but I'm really curious about exactly what knives were offered. One of one ,some prototypes, samples ect. they are exactly what collectors love. Could some of yall that were lucky enough to acquire one of these rare Bucks share what was offered?? And maybe share what price Buck asked ?? So we can be jealous lol!

Here are a couple I got at the 25th that were considered archive knives. There were others there as well that were just buildouts.

If you can remember other knives you seen and any details about the 'Archive' Bucks (were they all put out at once ect.) share please..David told me I should go..wish I had now..

bucksway - It's been 5 years and I really don't recall what exactly was there as far as archive knives. I do remember a damascus 110. You would put your name in a bucket and when your name was drawn
you could pick from a table of knives. They all had prices on them. My wife and I were one of the 1st ones to put our names in the bucket. Some individuals showed up late and dropped their name in the bucket
and seemed to be drawn fairly fast. I was the last to be drawn and my wife was 3rd from the last. By than they were pretty picked over. After everyone got their turn they than let anyone grab up anything
they wanted from the leftover knives. What a free for all that was. People grabbing as fast as they could. This time I will be more ready. People reaching around us to snap up anything they could as fast as they could. I have heard though that they might be doing something different this time. I guess I will have to wait and see.
The store had a lot of buildouts that were also for sale.

A couple buildouts from the 25th.

I got the 2 red bone Damascus 110's--think I sold 1 and still have one but where the heck is it?? buried at the bottom of one of the stacks----I got 1st pick---it was auctioned off and I paid 100 dollars to get the 1st pick--that was badazz---if he auctions 1st pick again this year ya better bring yer money boys!!!!! that sucks james--dang it --sorry it was that way for you---I thought it was kinda fun....what I think there was 3 tables full of knives....
joe has some kool knives ready for the sale--whole bunch of gold etched 110's and he is working on mo and mo knives for us everyday--he told me to leave him alone :D:pha--- he is concentrating on knives--so I cant wait to see them all--I think this will be better than the 25th....

Hey Clint top knife is a G-10 if I remember correctly
the bottom knife the 112 is made from black micarta
The red appearance is a reflection from the background .

Is all G10 the same color? Mirror polished blades go well with brass or nickel silver. I was just thinking would it be crazy if I grabbed all of my fancy 112's and picked a different one each day for 2 or 3 months........lol!

I fear some of you mix up build out knives and archive knives. Build outs ar made out of production left overs, archive knives are prototypes made for production.

The OP did ask " I'm really curious about exactly what knives were offered "

D-RIG did you get a letter like some were givin at the 25th? Or anything that said what was special about it?One of the things that attracted me to 'Archive' 112 listing was a form letter that came with it. Joe filled it out and signed it. I imagine since yours is dated 2012 that letter was not with all Archive Bucks since it basically a COA referring to the 25th get together. Do you know why it was archived? The fact that Buck saves and periodically sells special ones is new to me..I do remember a Ebay listing 4 or 5 years ago that the photographer who took pics of catalog knives (including a 112) was selling them but he was real proud of what he had..

None of mine had COA's with them but Joe did tell me that if I wanted one he would make one up. I have never taken him up on it though.
