...or are they just unreachable from Germany? Since the end of last week I have been unable to reach any USPS website, tried from multiple computers and browsers: Always get the the Server not Found error message and I have heard of others here in Germany who could not track any packages coming from the USA to Germany via USPS because the site was down.

Normally this is no problem, just go to the usps.com and enter the USPS tracking number. Done it a million times for decades. Now nada.

It looks like this may have started on November 1st. I have a package on the way over to me from Georgia, USA and I tracked it normally in the last week of October through the USPS site, no problem.

Can anybody out there, particularly anybody located in the EU, try and reach a USPS site and post what they find? Or does anybody know what the problem may be? Evidently the USPS sites when reached from inside the USA are fine.

Any help would be appreciated!

Just got off the phone with DHL Germany, they don’t know what’s happened. At first DHL thought I was insane, then they tried to reach usps.com themselves and only got Server not Found, same as me.

This is weird.

US Post is definitely blocking their site from being used in Germany. If I use Opera with the VPN turned on, I can see usps.com
What are they thinking? I don't get it.

This doesn't sound like a USPS problem. Perhaps your country has triggered some sort of automated filter. Who knows.

Who's automatic filter? Of the internet or just the US Postal Service? I think it's definitely the US Postal Service. Just had a few other friends here in Germany try and they were all blocked unless sing a VPN browser such as Opera or Chrome. I hope somebody from the UK, France and other EU countries will try and see if they get through.

Exactly. Who knows?

In the least this could be a simple glitch. At worst it could be international terrorism! There is lots of room in between, which is the likely answer.

USPS is working fine here. Just saw a mail truck a few minutes ago.

Hmmmmmm. So disappointing. Of course it's working OK over here.

It COULD be USPS blocking to Germany, or it COULD be Germany ISP blocking USPS. This is above my pay grade. :)

Can you simply go to Google and ask to track package number from there. Maybe it's a workaround?

What about this site: https://easypackagetracker.org/88-v11/?keyword=All Carriers

The OP has and seems capable of using Opera's "VPN" which will allow masking of origins to either end of the communication so OP has a work around but as everyone has stated we can't do anything more than speculate who has the error or block that is resulting in this problem.

As of this morning Tuesday, 5th November the USPS website is back online and reachable from Germany... at least it was with Safari. Hopefully it will stay that way!
