Are Balisongs Legal in California??

Hello, I heard that there were special laws in place for Balisongs in Calif. Can anyone shed any light on this matter??? Thanks

They're considered gravity knives and fall under the same regulations as autos. They are legal to have in your home or the trunk of your car. Misdemeanor to carry open or in the passenger area of a car, and felony to conceal on your person.

If I am not mistaken it is a Misdeameanor punishible by Imprisonment and a hefty fine

I was told balisongs are legal in California if the blade is less than 2 inches.
