That's what I suspect too--more meat on the bones, particularly the shoulders. That is exactly why I wanted the ffg--less shoulder, more slicy. I have beat the living hell out of my TGLB, and that is exactly what I wanted it for... the 16 I can use in the woods and in the kitchen, around the house and yard, etc... even fishing. The 14 is great, but even my wife said she preferred a little more blade and handle when I handed her the 14 to cut up some t-bone steaks I had just BBQ'ed. Thus the BK16 order--it was her idea!
