Are clips necessary

I removed a clip once because I never use it for it's intended purpose, but I put it straight back on when I found that flicking the blade open almost made the knife jump out of my hand!

I can't open a BM Griptilian w/o the clip to anchor it to my hand - the slick, bulbous handle flies out of my hand when I try to open one.

Nice article in the new Blade by Mr Ed Fowler regarding why he does
not like pocket clips. He is much more reserved about them than I
am; I despise the damned things.

I love the feel of a folder sans pocket clip; that said, I use them for all of the reasons mentioned above. :thumbup:
