Are College Professors Sadists?

Now it wasn't sadistic, but it was cruel...for a purpose. I have a friend who was an army ranger medic. Back 20 years ago part of training was "Goat School". They would anesthetize a goat and shoot it. You had to keep it alive for a certain length of time to pass the course. Now that was a tough school, but at least they used anesthetics.
