Are CR Sebenzas THAT good and can one get a better price?

Jay, as I've told you before, you cannot expect a sebenza to cut 3 times better than a pinnacle, or hold an edge 3 times longer, but it should do both of these things at least a little better. What you are mostly paying for is the quality.

I don't know what it is exactly, but there's something about the sebenza.
I saw one at a gun show a few weeks ago, had to pick it up and play with it. Later that week I found that I was dreaming about it. I was compelled by forces unknown to me to go online and buy one, 2nd day air. I got it. I let it out of my hands for a little while so that my roommate could play with it, opening and closing, feeling the action on the locking mechanism etc.. She is NOT a knife person at all, but now she wants a sebenza more than anything in the world. Maybe it's some kind of viral thing, I don't know.. but there's definitely something about those knives!
If you can afford one, they are definitely worth checking out..

Nice knife. Saw Chris Reeve speak at Blade about how well made it is, and how hard he tries to make it a great knife. I believe him completely.

That said, I've never owned one, and at knife shows, when deciding on what to buy, a Sebenza has never been in the running. In a case of similarly priced knives, a Sebenza has never caught my eye.

Take it as you will.
