Are dealers substituting Sebenza 21's for the Classic?

I just heard back from the dealer. I didn't get a call back from them this morning, so I tried to call them again and they didn't answer, so I emailed them. They apologized for the inaccurate listing on the site and said that it should have been listed as a 21 and not a Classic and thanked me for my business. They didn't say anything else about sending it back in response to my asking if the substitution was intentional or not, but I guess from their answer they intended it to be listed as a 21. I guess that means that's it.

Anyways, loving the knife. The micarta is super sharp looking, the blade feels great in hand. The color of the micarta is lighter than most pictures I have seen. Here are some pictures of it I took on my desk at work:

They also said they will be fixing the item description and title on their website. I forgot to mention that.
 
Yeah, the website descriptions still need to be updated from the Regular/Classic period to the 21 period...the important thing: you have a great knife, and you're liking it. :) :thumbup:
 
Another small difference between the two you can't see is the detents. The 21 the detent hole goes through the blade making the detent stronger than the classics which doesn't go through the blade. I prefer the 21 because of this.

Is that only on the S35VN models ??? That the hole goes all the way through ?? I know my large eyes 21 is like that, but cant remember if the regular 21 in S30V had the hole go all the way through. Maybe the early 21's had the regular detent and they changed down the road ??
I have pretty much large regulars.

I thought that was the case with the 21, and with the Umnu as well, but that's a pretty fuzzy recollection and I haven't searched here to confirm or correct that memory.
 
So I talked with Trish this morning, and it looks like we were the guilty party!

Let me know if we need to do anything to make it right with you. I am fixing the ads now.

What happened is that we had someone new putting ads up on the site and they copied and pasted but didn't know the difference between a Classic and a 21.

No worries! I am more than satisfied with the 21. Both are great knives. Thanks for the fast shipping!
