Are Full mirrors A Contradiction?

I don't care about fingerprints. The friction reduction and increased corrosion resistance is nice. :)

This. Shiny is nice and all, but a mirror finish comes with performance advantages. Now I still don't have many, as they tend to be expensive, but I lean that direction when it's an option without significant added cost.

And yes, I know I can do it myself, but time is money, etc.

I have mirror polished several of my most frequent users in order to gain the performance advantage and corrosion resistance. Done by hand it is tedious, but kind of a zen experience. As users, they don't retain a perfect look, but the practical advantages are still there.

This is the same problem I have with my BM 761 that I anodized. It looks awesome when you clean it with Windex and don't touch it. However, as you handle it, the colors fade to dull shadows of what they once were. But it is fun to go back with the Windex and see how pretty it is again.
