I saw Enco is doing another one of their free shipping and 20% off sales today and I'm looking at their 10" 1 HP Enco brand buffer. With the sale I can get it for $237 ($470) normal so it sounds like a decent deal for how often I'll use it. I'm kind of 50/50 on buying it at the moment though, does anyone have any experience with Enco buffers?

A buffer is a buffer, IMO. It's basically just a motor with a through shaft. Like any took, as long as you don't abuse it, it should do what you need it to.
I've got a couple 6" Performax buffers from menards that I paid about $60 each for, and they've been running fine for years.
