Are inlays worth the added cost?

I like some of the inlayed Sebenzas and would be happy to pay the extra for a nice piece of wood or ivory that I liked. That said I am not that fond of the two piece inlays on the 21s. There are a couple of nice pieces but for the most part I much prefer the larger single piece inlays found on the Regular anual Sebenzas. :)

Definitely agree from an aesthetic point of view. For use, I like the two-piece inlay. I use the section between them for a better grip. YMMV!

I like the cleaner look of a Sebenza without inlays. The CRK inlays come off as too contrived to me. As if they were added after market or something. Just in appearance of course. I'm sure they function just fine.

I dropped a Desert Ironwood Mnandi onto asphalt pavement from about 4 feet. And it was still new, ouch. Dented the inlay on the upper left corner, about two years later the that part of the inlay, about 1/16" by 3/32", fell off tape and all. So I think that you could break your inlay under hard use. In my case only the wood was damaged, but I think you could also mangle the titanium if you bounce the knife off the pavement enough times. I hope never to find out.

I got a Micarta Inlay Lg Sebenza with a polished blade. It is awesome. The standard Micarta inlay ones come with a stonewashed blade though. The polished blades are awesome. They do attract fingerprints, but just put a coat of turtle wax on it. It helps a little.
