**Are Kershaw Speed Safe folders reliable?**

I think the so call poor steel is very well done.
JJcoolay could probably testify that because he had a scallion and I've tried Scallions and chives... they're very sharp.
It's 420 but it's 420HC, It's still better than the 420J2, which many POS may have used the steel for the blade. It seems Kershaw has done a very good heat treat on their 420HC.
JJ's scallion's torsion eventually break though... I think he traded it for something else when he had it warranteed.

Have owned "Kershaw" knives for years. Have been a fan of "Onion's" Speed-Safe since the Random came out. My son and I have them all except Leek and Wisper. Have never had a problem with the speed safe.
Have lost a screw and spacer from my Vapor. Kershaw sent me replacement at "No Charge" in three days. Kershaw/Onions bestbuy for the buck in my book. "IMHO"

got so tired of the SpeedSafe opening in my pocket, I finally gave it away.

Setting the safety removes all the fun of having the speedsafe.

I have the Random Task and love it, I've had it for about 6-7 months now and it stillopens with the same kick as when it was new. I have the cpm 440v model and it is razor sharp! I would defeintly suggest one.
