Are Kershaw speedsafes reliable?

Carried a Shallot, with composite ZDP-189 blade, every day for 8+years. Never opened accidentally. When the torsion bar broke, I sent it in to be repaired and sharpened. Never a problem since.

I generally carry a Kershaw Launch 8 these days, or a Ruike P-108. But the Shallot still gets pocket time.

My favorite Kershaw folder was and has always been the Shallot, which is also assisted.

1. never had any problems.
2. I found a dealer who would engrave the knives and make nylon sheath with recipient's first name thereon.
3. I have about 4 Shallots. The 3655 has the same blade length and I have many of them. Very inexpensive and I remove the clip for inside the pocket carry.

I have two assisted opening Kershaws. One over fifteen years old and used nearly everyday. Never opened accidentally. I believe they have it figured out.
