Are LE's meant to be users?

Just got my 2 nmfbm's and couldn't be happier. :thumbup: I ordered a cg which I plan to beat the hell out of and an LE which is so beautiful I don't know if I can bring myself to do it. Are your LE's users or safe queens? Someone please give me liscense to break this baby in. Or, tell me to "put down the LE" :D Thanks.
 
My LEs ARE users. IMHO, they make the best users. And like some others here, I don't let cost or how beautiful a knife is keep me from using it. Go ahead and use it...you know you want to.
 
Performance is the same. with my poor pockets i would use the combat grade and hang on to the LE because they look so nice. But then again im not a hard core hog.
 
I never buy a knife I won't use, and I use them no matter what they cost. They're knives, that's their point!

I don't have any LE's so I can't speak from experience. I do have an SE though, that I beat harder than any of my others. Use it and never look back!!
 
Good point js. Actually I was bought both thinking I would use the CG as an all around beater, and the LE for more task oriented things, where I wouldn't be as likely to abuse it.

man just my opinion here. I would use one and keep the other one. I dont see any reason on using 2 knives of the same thing. Id hang on to the 2nd one as an investment. that LE is an expensive knife. Id keep her looking good. Years down the road if your combat grade has seen better days then you still have that LE to fall back on. If you come onto hard financial times then you have that LE to sell. Piece of mind is key.
 
Yes, they have the same performance as the combat grade versions. It really comes down to whether you want to try to sell it later and get your money back/make a profit, or if you can afford to use it.
 
The only increase in performance I could see would be with the fully convexed edge of the LE's vs. the not fully convexed edge of the CG. Of course you can always alter the blade afterwards.
 
I say use them all! The guy who had the 1 of 3 ax should be an example and inspiration to us all.
 
i haven't been able to stop myself from using any of my knives. although admittedly i only have one LE
 
Lots of guys use their LE's. mhawg just admitted in another thread to using his #14 NMFBM LE,:eek: now that takes balls imho. My #32 is in a shadow box mounted on the wall of my man cave.:thumbup: I'd say use the CG, store the LE.
 
I have a LEHOGFBM and an LEBATAC and they are awesome knives to use!

I actually prefer my LEFBM to the CGFBM because it simply feels better and it is soooo much easier to clean;)
