I came across a few lawn mower blades and while I know they're not great for knives, I was wondering if they would work for a froe? Or maybe a draw knife for debarking, fleshing knife, or spoke shave.
I don't know much about mower blades but I know about woodworking blades. Froes are used dull so they split and not cut the wood, as long as the steel is hardenable it should be fine. Draw knives and spokeshaves have more in common with knives, they should be quality steel and able to hold an edge without being too difficult to sharpen. Especially draw knives which for some reason challenge many people's sharpening ability.
