Are Steel Framelock Inserts Replaceable?

So I just picked up a ZT 0801 off the forums here and it is one of the best feeling production knives I've ever handled. And with a flipper as smooth and perfect as this, I want to open and close it all the time (nobody here knows that feeling, right? ha). I just had 1 question. I believe it has the steel insert on the Ti framelock, and this is the first knife I've owned with an insert. Can that be replaced at some point way down the road? Do companies make you send them in to do that if so? Or send you a part? Maybe it's a stupid question, but anyone who's had experience replacing one (if that's how it's done) please let me know how it went. Thanks!

Yes sir, they can be replaced under ZT warranty! That's why they are made as separate pieces to be screwed on.

I have yet to need to replace one of the steel inserts on any of my ZTs but I'm sure you'd have to send it in for the work. They only send out small parts like body screws, torsion bars, pocket clips, etc.

Enjoy your 0801! It's one of the best production flippers of the last few years, IMO.

Awesome to hear! I assumed that that was why they screw on and off, but I'm well aware of what happens when I assume! Time to keep flipping it. I totally agree though with that statement. I haven't handled too many flippers recently, but this one just blew me away. In my opinion, nothing on this knife could be really any more perfect.
