Are the Hossom fixed blades about to be discontinued?

The Woodlander I got over a year ago was really good quality, the box was crap (but who cares). The Dayhiker I got after they got cheap still looked fine, the sheath came with a gclip not teklock, and the sheath is markedly worse (but people have always complained about them, so maybe I got lucky with my Woodlander).

Maybe its a lower grade batch? As long as it still cuts and the heat treat is done right, I don't care, they are great blades.

I just recieved a Forester and Dayhiker, and both seemed of good quality and had the Tek-lok on the sheath.

You got me all excited, jill jackson! I was comparing my two Manix 2s last night, and noticed that the new one has numbers on the blade just like your collector numbered Hossom knife. No wonder it looks so nice....

For the price, the three Hossom fixed blades I received yesterday are great value knives, don't get me wrong. Other forum members may have been lucky enough to get old stock knives at the reduced price. Nothing beats buying over the counter in that regard, buying online has its own hazards...
