I noticed the other listing for this forum is now gone. I wonder if everthing between now and the older archive is lost.....

It's be a damn shame........
 
They're still there. I just checked an old thread I had bookmarked from September and it still works.

I imagine that if you use the search feature you can still find the old threads.

Hmmm, we might not be able to use the search feature after all. I just checked and was unsuccessful but the threads are apparently still intact as I mentioned above.

I went back to my bookmarked thread from September and tried to access "search" from there, but it doesn't allow access to the previous forums threads.

So, for the moment it appears you'd need to have the bookmark to access the older content.

Perhaps Spark can put make them accessible through the search function.

I tried a search using my user name and it only went back to Nov. 7.........

But I used my bookmark for the Yvsa special and after it loaded the page, I clicked under the "topic tree" on Himalayan Imports Forum and it took me into "Himalayan Imports Forum -Temp Disabled" and everything is there if you tell it to load all posts...

That's my old thread I was referring to.

If you change the "854" at the end of the URL to a number higher or lower, you can go backward and forward in the old threads.

I'm not suggesting that as a means of doing a search, but at least it shows the old posts are still preserved.

Once you "get back there", they are all available for reading only. It does not allow any replies..that OK.....I've got a lot of reading to do now.......

I imagine Spark will archive the posts. The forum was growing quite large once again. It took much less time to reach 18,000 than it did the 1st time. I started to check the elapsed time a few days ago and got side tracked.
