Are the Regular Seb Owners Still Carrying Them?

Being that it's getting more and more difficult to come across them these days, I was just wondering if you guys have changed your carrying/use of the Regulars? As much as I love my Sm. Regular, I'm finding that I've been grabbing my TNK Sm.Tanto 21 more often lately. It pretty much goes against my self-imposed rule of not using a knife I own, but until I come across another, I'm very mindful of damaging it. And let's be honest, a Tanto 21 isn't a bad 2nd choice:cool:
So, what about you guys?

I have a large regular bg-42 in Like new condition that I absolutely love. I carry it in rotation with the other sebes but the cutting I use my knives for arent likely to hurt anything so i still use it. BUT I am a little more mindful of it.

I carry a BG-42 large regular or a small CGG "echo" regular most of the time on weekends. I carry a numbered (1 of 200) BG-42 Mnandi during the week. They are made to be used....although I do have a few unused CRK's.

Well the great thing with CRK's is you dont have to worry about scuffing up your knife. All it takes is vacation to the spa and you get back a brand new reg.
I have a prestine large reg but havent really carried it on me yet. It still goes with me to work but stays in its pouch in my maxpedition bag. So I guess that
probably doesnt count.

I carry any use my small regular everyday at work, it gets more and more scuffed up everyday, I also use the added swedge to scrape metal and other hard surfaces.

I do still carry the Regulars and will continue to do so. The knives I have are already used so I see no point in suddenly hiding them away because the Regular is now out of production. (I actually carry the Umnumzaan more these days but again that has nothing to do with the increasing rarity of the Regular). :)

I carry my small regular all the time but just started carrying the large as I recently acquired it. Both have wide jimping and are quite special to me!

Sold the 2 regular large I had, and only carry my large 21 seagrass model now.

I generally carry one of my classics daily but occasionally I do slip my large regular BG42 in my pocket. I am more careful of what I cut with it than with my others.

I now have six sebenzas but the large regular that I bought used years ago has been in my pocket about 90% of the time for the past few years.

Opening letters, gutting fish, whittling hotdog sticks..... whatever something shows up that needs cut.

Slim

You know me. I carry one of these almost every day, everywhere ..

I retired my large plain reg after 10 years of EDC, but still carry a small LDC once in a while (LDC 109-48).

I have a large reg that I carried before they were rare. Collector value is already gone so I figured I'd just keep on using it.

Nice selection of knives for EDC rotation Steve!

I never leave home without my large regular Sebenza.

One of these days I may get the courage to carry one of my large P Sebenzas.

All my sebenzas are Regulars, don't like the 21's point blade profile. So its Regular Sebenza all the way for me !!!

I carry mostly Spydercos but my Large Regular Sebenza is the only non-spydie I ever carry. It makes the rotation usually one week outta the month. Sadly, the edge holding is notably lesser than any of my Spydercos. This is real world experience talking, not some two week "feelgood" review. Before you flame me for this reply, get a Spyderco in S30V steel and give it an honest comparison to CRK's use of the same blade steel. There is a world (make that a galaxy) of difference. It's not that CRK's edge holding is bad, it's just that SPyderco's edge holding is so far outta this world that anything else pales in comparison. It's not even a fair fight.

That said, I love my large regular. Warts and all, it's an awesome knife. Butter smooth action. Sheesh. I prefer the 21 over the regular when I'm sitting around "admiring" the knives, but in actutal useage the Large Regular is just the ticket. I've used mine just like I use my Spydies. Scraping, stripping wire, cutting hose, cutting cardboard, light prying. Spreading peanut butter. Name it. My large regular doesn't get treated with kid gloves. I'm proud to own it.
