Are the Regular Seb Owners Still Carrying Them?

Yep, Harry is right, my sebenzas don't hold the edge that some ofmy other knives do. Just gotta sharpen them more. Sharpening is good therapy (relaxing) for me anyway. I wonder if the S35N will be better. Prolly so.

..Before you flame me for this reply, get a Spyderco in S30V steel and give it an honest comparison to CRK's use of the same blade steel. There is a world (make that a galaxy) of difference. It's not that CRK's edge holding is bad, it's just that SPyderco's edge holding is so far outta this world that anything else pales in comparison. It's not even a fair fight....

No flames. You're right in that I'd prefer a little more hardness in exchange for some "sharpen-ability". I even think my Buck Vantage Pro with the Bos heat treat is a little better, but a Sebenza is still the highest quality production knife I've ever had the privilege of carrying.

Since getting back into Spydies, with a Military then a Para 2, I don't carry my Regular Sebbie as much anymore but it wasn't necessarily because they are no longer in production. For now, I have my Seb put away until she goes back to the spa.....after 5+ years of pocket carry, I think there is a facelift in order. This CRK will be leaving my hands next year when my son graduates high school and heads off to serve in the Air Force. I hope that this Large Regular will serve him just as well as she has served me.

Until last Thursday the answer was yes.
Then a Large Insingo arrived, so this is my EDC going forward. Love the blade shape.

My Umfaan rides in a Mission Wallet with me every day, does that count?

Yep! Small regular carried and used most days. In fact I just finished giving it a strop to keep the edge I like.

Small regular with double lugs is the only one I'll carry. I wouldn't sweat collectibility too much. Heck, it'll be another pattern (or fixed blade -- think one-peice range) discontinued next that'll have folks asking the same question. Life is way too short! Carry and use your CRK's!

Professor.

I just bought one off the exchange and when it gets here it will be carried. Otherwise I wouldn't have bought it. :)
