Well Wulf, I'm not rich or famous as most people see it. But I don't need either of those things. I'm not saying I have it all but I'll tell you this much. Every day I get to decide what I am or am not going to do. I can take my plinker gun into the woods and shoot acorns for target practice or sit here and look at the computer. I can forge whatever my heart desires and do whatever I want in the shop. If my concience is good to me I'll get some work done for folks that are waiting on me. If not then I'll feel guilty. But at the end of the day I have no one to blame for my shortcomings but me. And my people have no one to thank for all I've done but me. If a fellow has to draw a line somewhere, let it be as close to himself as possible. There's no reason to fight your way through life. Relax and enjoy what time you have here. Do your best and be honest in all things.
What I'm trying to say is that life doesn't have to be complicated. And you don't have to let the market run you. I know that folks will always need knives. And they'll always buy knives from me if I treat them right and give them my best. I don't give out completion times on knives that are ordered because I'm no fortune teller. I don't have a degree in accounting or book keeping either. So I may occasionally make mistakes with my record keeping such as it is. I'm a simple guy with simple ways and I refuse to be run by anything or anybody because it doesn't have to be that way. So am I really rich? You bet I am. In my own way. Thanks for noticing Wulf. You picked right up on that.
