Are there any permits required to sell Randall knife in New York State?

I dunno, but I'm not up on all the homosexual slang that's out there these days.

Gentlemen, we are in Knife Laws, not Whine & Cheese. DO NOT FEED THE TROLL or you may find yourself dining with him.

Part of the problem is that knife laws are a legal matter, and most people, even on Bladeforums, don't read laws correctly. We learn to read more colloquially, and law is an exactingly technical field, where each document (law) can use its own definitions of what look like common words.

We need to read them like you just did, focusing on EVERY word in its own context.

Words have definitions. Definitions vary by context. In a legal context, a word means what the specific law intends it to mean. If the law calls a ham sandwich a weapon, and you walk into a bar with a ham sandwich in your hand, you will have broken the law on bringing weapons into a place where alcohol is served.

It has been said that if the law believes that, then the law is an ass. But laws don't write themselves. Instead of insisting that laws mean what you want them to mean, speak to your legislators about them.

Oh, I see you. And I'm not impressed.

If you have a problem with my moderating, take it to Service & Support, not a knife discussion forum. I will be moving your post there in a moment.

If you want me to respond to your whining, ask nicely and I will explain what's up. Otherwise, ask someone else, or read the FAQ.

Right now, you haven't got a clue.
