Are there any REAL gladius(es?) on the market?

Traditional Filipino Weapons makes a gladius that looks quite nice. I do not own any of their products, but I have heard good things about them.

I just looked at their website and their Gladius does, indeed, look good. I like the price point, too!

Does anyone have any experience with their durability / usability? Are they just for looks or can they actually be used in combat? Do they have a full tang? What's the word on these? I'd love a Busse Gladius but I don't have $2000 to drop.

Don't remember the rules of cross linking forums, so I will just recommend searching online for "Traditional Filipino Weapons review".

If I was going to spend a pretty penny, I would get the TFW Gladius. But I think I could settle for either the Qama, Kindjal or Lakonia. My favorite for looks is the Qama. I don't know about the grip though. I am a 5'9" guy and I feel like I have medium size hands for my build. Would someone be so kind as to post a pic of the Qama's grip over a ruler or measuring tape?

Picture of the handle (with the only ruler with inches on it i could find), the total lenght of the handle is 5 inches, the inner grip is just shy of 3 inches:

and a comparison with an Esee 5 and a Hanwei Tactical Wakizashi:

THANK YOU, XYTRAS!!! I could do three fingers but not quite all four. Maybe I could grind back the bottom guard to give more hand room.

Kult of Athena has several Gladius swords in stock by makers like by Del Tin, Legacy, Windlass and others for 200-$400.

No experience with the TFW Gladius, but the quality is excellent on the Filipino weapons I have handled. Their blades are well tempered 5160 steel that arrive quite sharp and feel light and lively in the hand.

The Qama would benefit from a hilt re-profile and a set of custom scales - micarta, circuit board laminate or carbon fiber, maybe. For the low price, it would definitely make a good base for a semi-custom blade.
