Are there no pretty plain Thuya Burl Mnandis left on the market?

It's a shame you are looking for plain blade because there are some nice damascus ones sold by ADs on a famous auction site.

It's a shame you are looking for plain blade because there are some nice damascus ones sold by ADs on a famous auction site.

Yeah I may be the odd ball out here but what bugs me about the Damascus mnandis specifically is the polishing around the tang area I believe, and you can see that visible half circle going up a tiny part of the blade when it’s fully deployed.

I know they say it makes for smoother action but I have heard others claim the old Damascus style where there was no visible polish had sufficient action.

They are not ugly by any means, but it’s just kind of a personal preference and saves some money too. If I had to choose between a Damascus or no blade at all, I’d probably go for the Damascus if it was an inlay I really had to have.
