Are there Spyderco COUNTERFEITS out there to watch out for?

I would have no problem using eBay to buy a a spyderco. Just have to be informed and buy from a guy with good ratings and obviously in the US with a price that isn't too much of a steal. Also, googling their username is a good idea. On that note, expecting a spydie from eBay in the mail today. Of course I will be anxious all day and inspect it immediately, but I'm confident I made a good choice and my techno is the real deal!

Holy Necrobump, Batman!

... For the sake of being on topic in a 2004 thread... I've actually seen some pretty good PM2 copies, very difficult to tell the difference between them and the real ones. One way I've found to tell for sure is to try working the screws; Spyderco uses some of the best hardware in the production industry, in my opinion... I've yet to strip one out. The screws the copies use are much softer.

This is clearly just harassing Sal with the grammar of a 4 year old- post reported.

By all means go ahead and quit buying spyderco's, leave them for us people who can tell the fakes (its really not difficult to buy from a known source and to physically see the differences between real and fake...)
