Are they among the missing?

I have not heard from Sonam or Brian Caffrey both of whom lived and worked in NYC. Anybody have news of these people.

Brian C is alive and active on the axe forum.

I'm sending you Sonam's email, but on 9-7-01 he noted not getting to look at the forums for a while. In 2 1/2 years he's only posted 144 times.

I am not sure if the missing 11 were all Newaris but no word except missing.

Sonam just emailed and is alive but in shock and angry. I'm quite relieved to hear from him. He lost friends and is understandably bitter. As most know he was raised by a Gorkha Col. father and many Gorkhas served as watch dogs for him when he was a kid. He elected not to make a career in the Indian Army but I could read that old Gorkha spirit between the lines. If he could I think he would enlist in any US service that could make use of him. He is one of the good boys of this world.

I'm glad to hear that Sonam is alive and well!!!!
This has been to horrible a week to have anymore missing or that have walked West.

Horrible is right. I got an email from a nephew who lives not too far from the WTC and he witnessed people jumping. I was going to post his mail but then thought better of it.

What a choice. Burn or jump. Makes me angry all over again.
