Are we all crazy?

I would _never_ trade my dog to anyone for a khukuri. Not even Uncle Bill. Now my wife on the other hand...! :) ;)

Just kidding! Really. I think...

Jebadiah?

A friend I hunt pheasants with has a weimaraner as well as a german wire-haired pointer (like my Bert, the not-right-dog).

The Wei always looks like it is anticipating ANOTHER savage beating. To my knowledge, it has never even heard a loud word. His daughter used it for 4-H obedience classes, and it has the run of the couch, er, house.

But it always looks like it's waiting for one of us to snap and flail away. :)

Not a bad bird dog, works a little close and not a great retriever, but a sweetheart.

Her name is Maddie, but we call her "fish eyes" "googley eyes" or just "puppy". She is young but is catching on to pheasant hunting well, she is a wonderful retriever, she honors our two setters, occassionally finds birds on her own, and seems to be a quail prodigy. She likes to jump on the table at dinner and fart quietly (no butt cheeks). My sister likes to feed her pretzels until she throws up, then feeling hungry again, eat her own puke or more pretzels. Uncle Bill, you could send her to Nepal to run on a wheel to power the kamis forge. This would allow the kamis to use the blow dryer to clean up for dates, which would eventually lead to a large new generation of kamis. So you see, with Maddie gone, we all win.
