To tide us over until the Forum knives are made, I've been scrounging around, looking for some knives to give away! I also promised to do a giveaway for something, but I forgot what?
Anyway, I hope this will cover both, because I am going to do a SERIAL GIVEAWAY!:eek:
One a month or more until the knives are made!!
July is here! And this one is for everyone who is a regular contributor to the Traditional Folders Forum!!. The next GA will be for subscribers to the Forum knife only.
So everybody, you must promise to use this knife, and tell us a little tale about what you are going to do with it!!
Your post is your number, and I'll draw it on the 10th of July!
Oh yeah, the knife!:o
Made by Queen or Camillus in 1095 steel, this lonesome devil has been sittin' in a drawer for four years doing nothing!! It's anxious to do a little work, so help the poor feller out!!
Give it some hope, and maybe have it sent to a new and exciting life in your pocket!!:D

Good Luck!!

Charles, you are one (1) generous SOB.

If fortune smiles upon me, I would use the knife to bring about whirled peas.

Thanks for the chance.

Nice knife! I was just looking at Moore Makers at knifecollectors. I can't make up my mind with all the great knives they have.

This looks like a great back pocket knife and I'd give it a go as an EDC for sure! I'm tired of carrying G10 this and Carbon fiber that...:D

Thanks for the chance.

Thanks Charlie. If I win I think I'll go for one of those pocket sheaths and use this one for camping and hiking.Looks like it would take on any chores for the woods.

Steve

Great giveaway Charlie. Count me in. Looks like a very nice knife. I'd love to put it to use.

I'd like to try out that yeller soddie, for garden picking/food prep at backyard BBQ time. I have about 300 cherry tomatoes on the vine, and this dude looks like it would be perfect for halving them. Probably give my 10 year old a bit of knife skills practice too.

I'll jump in on this one - I have a large one, but I could always find a use for another, especially since I don't have any Moore Maker brand knives. Should she come here to live, she'll have many full days of activity: trimming branches, peeling Granny Smiths for mom's pies (I can blade-peel as fast as any mechanical peeler out there), and working up the apricots for preserves.

Thanks for the chance!

~Chris

My doctor says I need more yella in my diet, so I'm in.
If'n I ever nail this worthless raccoon that's been pesterin' about here, I'll use it to skin his hide!

I am going to put it in a little knife bed with my Trapbuster and see if they have kids!

During the day of course I would put it to work...has to earn a living after all with little ones on the way! I would, of course, give you pick of the litter...

I hope I'm regular.
Thanks Charlie, in my job as a truck driver I often have chores that require fine cutlery. It will be used for everything from cutting rope and nylon straps to peeling and slicing my after dinner apples.

I have seen "regular" requested before, not sure if I qualify. Summer time reminds me of Boy Scout and Church Camp. Two places that in my youth a knife was always welcome. We picked up our daughter tonight from the same church camp I attended over 25 years ago. If I win I will whittle a stick and dream of old times before they inveted one hand openers........

Charlie, you are more than generous.... but I am waiting for your 2OT ;). Which reminds me, in a few more posts it will be my turn for my first giveaway.

I don't know if I count as regular or just semi often, but I would like to give yellow a chance! I have only seen one yellow Case in my life, and did not see the appeal. I would put it into rotation at the head of the line for at least 2 weeks to give it proper time in pocket. I've never held a Moore Maker, and in may bought my first sodbuster ('74 Case), so I would also take it camping to compare the 2 as the camping cutlery set is where the Soddy sits with the Mora 2000. (plus I would consider it the only University Graduation present I've received after 2 degrees- I finished last Sunday)

If determined that I am not regular enough around here and am chosen please give it to #26- my lucky number.
Thank you.

Oh I must take a chance at that yellow soddie. I will put it to work for sure. Thank you for the chance.

Wonderful gesture Charlie! I'd put a nice sharp edge on that soddie and use her around the yard. That yeller will help me keep track of her, if I put her down somewhere.

Thanks for the giveaway! I use a knife mostly for opening packaging and other minor stuff like de-fuzzing the end of pvc pipe after I saw it in two. I also use my EDC in my modeling work for marking wood and chopping to size (balsa and basswood). As this is a super pattern for EDC, it would do all of those things, plus trimming fingernails and cutting cardboard boxes down or whatever else came along (tomatoes, peaches, apples, oranges, that infernal plastic wrap they use on saltines now, etc.). That Moore Maker soddie is a very nice knife. I've never seen one in the flesh, but it's a good looking knife. I guess I'm babbling, so I'll shut up now.

Thanks for your generosity! This is a beautiful sodbuster. It would see use as package opener at work and as a hiking knife.

Thats a great lookin Soddie Charlie. I haven't edc'd a yeller knife for awhile now, but am getting a hankering to do so.... That Soddie would fit the bill nicely.
I was always going to pick up a soddie but just never did. Its one of the last patterns I haven't tried.

Its the time of the year to start doin some fishing and hunting starts in less than two months. I would really like to try that one out on some German Browns, a deer, and it the stars all line up this year, an Elk

Thanks for the chance
