Are we there yet? Are we there yet??

You folks around here are very generous and Charlie, that's a very nice sodbuster! For some reason that design has become one of my favorites ... just pure functionality. Thanks for the offer.

Not sure if I truly qualify as a regular, but I sure lurk around here a lot. I've been eyeing a Moore Maker Sodbuster for some time. As for use, I would work it into my regular rotation where it would be used to slaughter paper, cut threads, and generally help with daily chores. When my son gets old enough, I would give it him to be his first knife. He still needs a few years. If I qualify, thanks for the chance.

I would like to enter. I have recently agreed to help out on a farm in exchange for training time with their horses, I would use the knife for the jobs around the farm.

I dont know if I should be concidered a true regular. I have been here several years and only posted 600 times witch gives a truly low day to day average. But bladeforums and a svedish place for gear.is the only place I ever post on internet. And most often when I sheck internet its only this subforum for the oldfacioned knifes I love and use so in my mind this is the "one"place for me.
If I should end up with a knife like that it would be a little hard to give it the first scratches but I would do it. It would be used for my fishingwalk in the norwegian mountains in the first week of august if it was here by then but knowing how long time knifes take here it would probobly geet its premiere in the first week of oktober when Im heading for my cottage in lappland to fill the freezer with fish for the winter. We fish with nets that week and usually gets 10-20 kilos a day for 3-5 days so its a lot of fish to clean. We often dig our potatoes up on the same trip that takes place in the maidingpause in the moosehunt so this is realy the oldfassioned foodtimes. We also pick lots of berys for jam, juice and deserts. I and my wife is very interested in geting the familys food from the nature. Gives a great feeling to et what you have harvested and couth in nature.

To tide us over until the Forum knives are made, I've been scrounging around, looking for some knives to give away! I also promised to do a giveaway for something, but I forgot what?
Anyway, I hope this will cover both, because I am going to do a SERIAL GIVEAWAY!:eek:
One a month or more until the knives are made!!
July is here! And this one is for everyone who is a regular contributor to the Traditional Folders Forum!!. The next GA will be for subscribers to the Forum knife only.
So everybody, you must promise to use this knife, and tell us a little tale about what you are going to do with it!!
Your post is your number, and I'll draw it on the 10th of July!
Oh yeah, the knife!:o
Made by Queen or Camillus in 1095 steel, this lonesome devil has been sittin' in a drawer for four years doing nothing!! It's anxious to do a little work, so help the poor feller out!!
Give it some hope, and maybe have it sent to a new and exciting life in your pocket!!:D

Good Luck!!

I really don't know if you'd consider me eligible for the contest because I'm so new to the forums, but if so I'd love to win this beauty. I'm just getting into traditional folders, and I've found them to be elegant little knives for household tasks like food preparation/package opening. I just got my first traditional, a Case Sodbuster, a few days ago and I LOVE it!!

Anyways, awesome little contest, good luck to all!

Very nice folder, and generous offer Charlie. I'm a real fan of Moore maker knives. I'ed put that soddie to good use for around the house, and gardening chores. Thank you for the chance.

My birthday is this Saturday, the 10th, and I would kick my Spydercos out of my pocket and take to the high country with this one ;). (going to Cabelas :D)

Thanks for the opportunity.

That's a nice knife Charlie, thanks for the giveaway.

Count me out though, I already have a MM soddie.

Thanks Charlie! Yes, please count me in. As to what I'd do with it -- well, just what I normally do with my knives -- slice open/slice up boxes, open mail, peel and cut up apples, slice jerky into small pieces (hate trying to bite it off), carve and scrape wood, cut insulation off network cables, remove plastic packaging of all types, and more - and of course, keep it really sharp, let it patina, and just carry it and enjoy it....

Awesome knife thanks for the giveaway Charlie. Apples and a block of cheddar...what?...there are other things to use a slippy for? Oh man I'm in trouble :D

There are so many giveaways, it is hard to keep track!!
What a generous place!!
This one ends on the 10th, so get your plan for using this knife posted.
You can't win without a post!!:D
It even comes with a nice green box!! You can keep money in it. Money you don't have to spend on a nice carbon steel Yeller sodbuster!!:)
