(sub-title - "Waiting for Bullwinkle!")

In the last "serial" giveaway for the Mooremaker, I promised the next knife would be for those who ponied up and subscribed for the 2010 forum knife.
(The next knife will be for all regular contributors to "traditionals".)
So this GA is for you who are waiting patiently for your Moose!!
But you gotta work for it! Tell us in a sentence or two what you would do with it! We will assume you will faithfully oil the joints, but, will you use it for EDC? Actually carve with it?
Or put it in a safe, and only take it out to polish and gloat over it?:D
A nice Li'l Whittler from Case in the 1970s. Unused, unsharpened, and made like a real whittler, with wedged backsprings, and nice chocolatey jigged bone handles.
Dark chocolate is good for you!
Here she be;

P.S. I heard from Queen, that delivery will be while the weather is still warm!! How cool is that??;)

Thanks for the GA!

She be a virgin 1970s Case!
She be beautiful

What would I do with her?

I would love to say 'Sharpen her and put her in my pocket'
But honestly, more than likely 'Gloat'
It would be an historic example for me, and I am not sure I could bring myself to use her.

Does this disqualify me?

Oooh...that's a good one.

I would whittle with that one. I want to make a ball-in-cage one of these days, and I want something other than the stocks that I have. I'm going to use a Case Swayback, but since my wife has expressed an interest in crafting a ball-in-cage also I figure that it might be wise to have another whittler on hand.

You are asking ME if gloating is valid??
:D:D:D

Beautiful whittler Charlie-thanks for the chance!!! I may have to learn how to whittle;):o....Tony

Charlie,

I would Immediately put this great knife into my everyday rotation! I really can't tell you what I would cut first, but I can say that ALL of my EDC's have been used for cutting!

I would like to tell you that I "would whittle a ball in a ball", but...I would have a hard enough time building a shoe-rack! :D SO, after that beauty is sent my way, I will Oil the Joints, then put a dab of lemon oil on the scales--if they need it!

Thanks!

Yes dark chocolate is good for you, I drink a large cup of it every night before retiring:thumbup:

That chocolate Whittler is tasty too and I'd actually like to try my hand at proper whittling, not just the therapeutic but messy 'stick sharpening' I do:D
they come in handy when the fire needs lighting though.

Nice giveaway, nice idea thank you:thumbup:

I'd like a shot. It would see semi-daily use. Since I only carry my 8OT right now this would give me a good change of pace AND be handy at work since I'm in construction and see some carpentry action on occasion. Thanks for the chance Charlie!

She'd be jewel of my collection. I would take her out on sundays with my best clothes on, or at least once a week and I would use her well. She is too fine to be kept in box on shelf. She is gorgeous, she is wanted, she wants to be used well, like all knives, I'd cut her what ever I need to, while carefully not abusing her.

I'd pass her on to my children, when they'd prooved they could responsible way use and keep knife.

My neighbor up the road, a grand old gentleman of 86 years, will re-gain 20 years and put on a wide grin when I hand him this knife. He's been loving knives for a long, long time.

I would certainly use it as an edc. It would be used for teaching me to whittle and then to teach my daughter to whittle, introducing her to fine cutlery.
Thank you sir.

P.S. I heard from Queen, that delivery will be while the weather is still warm!! How cool is that??;)

Can you see my smile from there?:D

Thanks for the chance, Charlie. What else could I do with it but whittle? :D

It would make a nice back-up for this one, which is in my pocket every day.

I'm glad to hear the good news about the forum knives, since I've had some unexpected expenses pop up that will put any knife purchases on hold for awhile. If I win, this one will surely be an EDC. (at least until I get my moose:D) Then I will set it aside for use it as a dedicated whittling knife. Thanks for the chance Charlie.

Beautiful whittler there Charlie
If I got lucky, I'm afraid she would only come out to be fondled ;)

Dave

P.S. A warm weather moose would be great!!

if i win--she would have a daily place in my pocket--do a little whittleing--maybe cut a apple--be admired--

She's a whittler - so I'd whittle with her (I'd have to admit, nowhere as well as yablanowitz)!

Hi Charlie. Thanks again for another great GA.
What would I do with it? I would occasionally put it in my pocket as a worry stone, and probably play with it while watching TV or sitting around the fire. It would be never be sharpened, and it would be cared for(oiling and a good occasional rubdown with mineral oil if needed).Too good and old to be a user.
