Are you a one-two brand collector?

"I'll take one of each, please."

Ahhh to dream.

Then again, if I only had knives by Bob Dozier and Bruce Evans, I wouldn't complain either.
:D

My main focus was always Benchmade and Emerson however I've been into Spyderco lately. Also dreaming of Sebenza's and Nkonka's.
These are the brands I currently own:

Benchmade
Cold Steel
CRKT
Emerson
Kershaw
Silver Stag
Spyderco
SOG
Victorinox

All of my folders are Spyderco's. I really like the hole, and find them to be of good quality. But, I'll try other brands if I like the product. I'm kind of interested in some of the new Benchmade and Camillus designs.

at first i bought whatever caught my fancy, no rhyme/reason, but now concentrate on benchmade, emerson and microtech knives in the production line, and darrel ralph and crawford in custom folders, and bud nealy in fixed blade stuff.

now, anyway lol, could change anytime!!

The brands I've owned the most have been Spyderco and Victorinox. I'm in the process of getting rid of most of my Spydercos; they're cool knives, but, for whatever reason, just don't quite live up to what I'm looking for. After I got my first Sebenza, that kinda ruined things for me with most other blades. I've read posts where people say "buying a Sebenza will actually save me money, because now I won't be buying all those other knives". In my case, though, buying a Sebenza has made me want to ... buy more Sebenzas! Not exactly a money-saving proposition. So, my Spyderco collection is decreasing and my CRK collection is increasing.

I love SAKs, too, though. I think the SAK has to be one of the best bargains from a price/quality viewpoint. I have a zillion Victorinoxs and will certainly continue to buy more.

Emerson : Commander and CQC7
BM : Balisongs, 705 and 710
MT : OTF and UDT
CRK : Small
Sand Shark : OTF
SWAT : Tiger Bali
Camilus : EDC
DDR : Mini and Madd Maxx :D

I guess I might fit into that catagory. I started with mostly Spydercos but have moved on to Microtechs--better job, better, knives. However, I've had others: Benchmade, Crawford design (nice knife, shouldn't have sold it), Boker, Walker cocobolo (piece of crap), Klotzli (still have it). Mostly I'm into Microtechs now but once I buy a sebenza or something I'll probably move around a little.

CRKT
Benchmade
Spyderco

Waiting for my first, but not last swamp rat.

Greg what do ya think of Buds stuff?

Try Meerdink, and Chavar, both taught by Bud, I love Buds stuff especially since he lives 20 mins. from my house.:D

Although I have a few favorite brands I'll still buy any particular knife that appeals to me.
Some brands I currently own:

Spyderco
Wenger
Victorinox
Buck
Schrade (Old Timer and Uncle Henry)
Camillus (mostly the Yellow Jaket series)
Soque
CRKT
Kabar
Gerber
Leatherman
Case
Sears Craftsman (made by Camillus, I think)
Kershaw
Fury (Hey, I was young and uneducated!)
Boker
And some others that I can't recall right now.

I don't think you can truly appreciate a great knife unless you have used some really bad ones.

Good luck,
Allen.

For the most part, I stick with Spydercos and Emersons. However, lately, I've started to look into the Busse and Perrin scene.

Golok, I am an Emerson, Busse user/collector. Although I am starting to weed out my prod emersons for 'special' ones, I will still collect while I can.

Busse knives are a big favourite of mine but I am tossing up wether to go again, from the prods to variants. I like using these more than collecting.

I have also started up my older collection again, which is traditional / stag related knives. This I will never give up and would be my core interest. It just goes hand in hand with my love for the outdoors.
