Are you impatient when receiving knives or knife related stuff.

.............so that was you looking in my window;) I can never wait and that is precisely why I will have 'em sent to me via Next Day. I figure the extra bit of money is worth my sanity!

Heck, I've even pulled a Dexter and chased the UPS man down (more than once) :D
 
...You got some nice knives too, Art. I had my last buy sent next day as well. Even then, waiting sucks.
 
Hehe this is so true!!! I just ordered a Mini Commander and i am desperately hoping for the Brown Truck of Love to show up... COME ON UPS... hurry up....
 
hahaha. i agree. coming here makes waiting even harder. i must say, i have been waiting since late december for some Newt Livesay stuff and am starting to get worried, as there hasn't been a response to my emails of the last 10 days. but i bet he's at the show anyway, so i'll "give him" a few more days ;)
 
I am in the majority here. I hate the wait, but once I get it, I almost hate to open the box, because I know the feeling will end. Until you actually have said knife in hand, and then it's all better.

My problem is, I become bored with new knives too easily, so I'm always ordering another. I'll probably have a serious heart condition in my early years, due to all of the stress!

My main beef with waiting is as follows. You happily order something. You wait the usual couple of days, and still nothing. Then you call, e-mail, etc. the establishment you ordered from, only to find that they don't have it in stock, and they don't have a clue as to when they expect their next shipment. Damn..... that's the worst feeling I know of.
 
The only thing worse than waiting for a knife you have bought to arrive is actually having a knife and not being able to use it, because you traded for it and the knife you sent has not arrived yet.
 
I can't stand the wait!:mad: It sucks BAD!!! I have two on wait now, I have pestered the first guy starting a week ago. It's not even due until the end of this month! I feel sorry for the Dozier's. I have a knife due at the end of May!:eek: :eek: :eek: I seriously don't know how I'll make it. Maybe this silly thing we call my job and family will somehow fill the void.
 
UPS tracking says that my BM 710 arrives tomorrow!!! What will I do until then?!?!?!

Here's the hitch. UPS always comes during the afternoon, while I'm at work. I have to go to the UPS building that evening, at precisely 7:00, and harass them into not making me wait until the next day. I make up excuses like.... "This box is VERY imporatant. I'm headed out to a saless meeting in Omaha tonight, and must have the shipped product with me. Millions of dollars ride on me getting this account."

Works every time. :D

I've spent a LOT of money on overnight delivery to avoid the dreaded wait....
 
Well, my Siegle monster Bowie arrived yesterday, and man, was it ever worth the wait!!!.:).:). (NOW, I'm waiting on a SOG Seal 2000 that was shipped to me yesterday...).:eek:.

...Will this "knife-madness" EVER END????.:D.:D.
 
Last September/October I ordered an knife from a well known maker...he said delivery in March.

And I didn't bug him about it until today!!!

It's weird, but I consider myself a very patient man. You have to be patient when ordering custom knives from any of the well known makers. I have waited over 5 years for a custom knife before. It wasnt easy to do, but you find other things to think about after a while. Having said that however, once I know the knife is done and being shipped, I am as bad as anybody out there. I just ordered the last R.J. Martin Oddessey from Les Robertson and paid for the Fed Ex Overnight delivery, as I didnt want the package sitting in some warehouse or truck over the weekend. Took the day off work Friday, so I could be home to take delivery of the package. I did nothing except sit in front of the bay window, watching TV and looking out the window, waiting for that damned package. And, you know how crappy daytime TV can be, so you know how much time I spent looking out that window. You can ask my mailman how I am too. Every day, I see him and everyday he says, "no packages today". I have been known to do a little bit of the "chase down the brown truck" rally also.
 
Im going insane right now, Just placed a order for a custom and i know i wont get it for at least 2-3 months, i have a BK&T Patrol machete on the way, should have been here 2 days ago, plus a CRKT M18 on the way. Im about to go insane!
 
Well, my sanity has temporarely returned... My CS SRK has arrived!

I'm glad I didn't get it at the local B&M store, because my SRK came with the latest model tight-fitting Concealex-sheath. The whole package looks great. No fancy stuff, I won't mind a few dings and scrathes on this one... :D
