Well are you?
A good knife is super important but does no good if your not up to the task to use it.
It's important to have a knife that's capable of cutting through the toughest stuff when in an accident scene, car crash or the like but one might have to run for help when every second counts. No second chance there.

I'm 33 yrs.
I run 1.863 miles (3 km) in 12 min. 24 sek.
And I benchpress 83 kg (180 pounds) not super proud but I'm working on it.

How about you? and no memory lane stuff, be honest.

I am in shape!
Round is a shape!!

Actually not bad for double nickel age. I work out in the gym 5 days a week.

My physical condition is bad but if you think that is atrocious you ought to talk to my family about my mental and emotional condition.

23 years old.
12:40 2 mile

34 min 5 mile

100 pushups in two min

88 situps in two min

210 bench press

320 squat

I am 5'7 at 150lbs. But being in shape is part of the job and we work out every morning. I wish I was a stud at running and ruck marching.

Like a previous poster, round is a shape. BP 120/74 no meds., heart rate resting 58, would not know a bench press if I saw one, never run. But I do what I want and go where I want. Height 5' 11" Weight 240 age 62+, If I need to run to report something, I will pull out my trusty cell and dial 911. If a place doesn't have cell service I don't go. :D:D:D

43 years old and still playing first division rugby. Practice 5 hours a week over two nights then game day on Saturday. So i would say I am in pretty good shape, not great but pretty good.

Ran NCAA D3 and D2 college Cross Country/Track about 4 years ago.

Only ran two years - three seasons.

Freshman Year track
4:16 - 1500m
10:00 - Steeplechase
16:03- 5000m

Used to do 10 miles in 60 min (6 min miles) once a week.

Today - could probably pull off a 5 min mile if my life depended on it.

Does this have anything to do with knives? No ... off to Community Center. :D

(How's THAT for being in shape? I picked up the whole thread and moved it!)

If there's one thing I hate more than running it's relating how much I suck at running. I don't really lift weights. Occasionally I'll bench press as many sets of 10 reps at 135 pounds as I can.

I recently took the MCOLES Pre-enrollment physical test. I passed all the events except the situps, which I missed by six. I know the physical test isn't very demanding, but I did make a great deal of progress in the last several months getting up to that result.

Pretty impressive Matt... but I bet you're one of them pretty boy backs! More concerned with messin' up your hair than making a tackle!

Just pokin' some fun at you, I'm jealous! I am the same age and had to retire at age 30 from playing first row. Just couldn't do it anymore with the body parts I had. Got some new ones, but have never regained the level of fitness I once had.

I'm 53, and in pretty poor shape (bad back, bad heart, high BP, gout, etc...), but still...I'd bet that you wouldn't want me mad at you, as I have a bad "attitude" and I am a big guy...I've been in all forms of combat, and I just don't give a damn...:D.

I be 59
4 times a week swim 2to2.5K.3 times a week run, bike or row for 30 min then abs and upper body workouts for 45min then stretching 30min.No more martial arts classes but I studied for 30 years and still shadowbox with knife in hand.
Just paranoid I guess

And "What sort of Job do you have?" has more to do with knives than this thread?

I don't run, I go on the local hill twice a week (used to be three times), it's quite steep in some sections and it takes me around 25 minutes of walk. But as usual as the winter approaches I lose condition because I am much less physically active during the winter. Luckily I am a muscularly built and more or less I look as in a good shape even if my condition is not quite good. Otherwise I still do series of exercises like push ups, pull ups. I can do 100 push ups in less than a minute, and up to 50 pull ups on a good day. I am 5 10 and 187 pounds.

37, 6' , 200 pounds and losing it. I want to get back down to 180. I've been running, and working out and watching what I eat. I also have a bad back due to an OTJ injury several years ago so things are going slowly.

The last time I ran more than 100 yards someone was shooting at me and I hadn't yet started shaving with any regularity. I do pinch grips and straight arm lifts with concrete dek blocks though. Only 48lbs or so apiece but its a serious workout anyway.
