...for some "slam-drafting?!"
Welcome to the 2006 NASCAR Nextel Cup season.
Gibbs boys looked good today-obviously...
I would say this could possibly be the most wide open "chase" for the Cup in a long time.
Some other quick observations from qualifying and the Bud Shootout today:
*Childress racing has benefited from their partnership with Cosworth...1 pole and 1 top 10.
Has the greatest name in Cup racing history finally begun to put the pieces together to field a competitive program...read: Petty, Loomis, Labonte?
*Not sure what to hthink about DEI, Jr. et.al....looked like they were just happy to be in the middle of the pack.
*The Big Boys...Hendrick, Roush...looked good and bad...see above.
*Carl Edwards got SCREWED by Nascar decision makers today...are these people dumber than the NCAA rule-makers? Looks close.
*Could Kyle Bush be a bigger douche-bag than his brother? Judging from todays on-track performance and off-track comments...I would respond with a resounding...YES!
*Can Ray Everenham finally put it all together this year? With the current driver stable and Charger nose, I say no...although "Krash Kahne" remains somewhat of an enigma.
Any more...?
