Are you tired of those large thumbstuds on your CRKT Ryan 7?

Well, this is the first thing I did to mine. I got this baby at Beck's Cutlery last week and that night I took my wife's hair dryer and heated the blade so the locktite would give easily. I unscrewed the thumbstud and I couldn't believe my eyes. I was planning on dremeling out the hole so it would have the "Spyderco" hole in the blade but I didn't have to do a thing. It is just like the real thing. I wonder why CRKT didn't do this to start with? It is lots easier to open like this. Heres a pic:

I am enjoying this knife alot. I have been carrying it almost everyday since I got it. I still carry my TnT, but it never hurts to carry 2 or more knives right?

"Spyderco" charges by the hole.

I finally took off the useless thumbstuds. The knife opens better with the hole only. I'll probably carry this knife more now.
