Aren't Ontario knockoff knives by Rotchco made overseas?

The reason I'm asking is because I've seen several of them advertised on sites and they're asking made in USA prices for what I'm assuming is cheaply-made Asian junk. For instance I just saw A Rothco knockoff of the Ontario ASEK survival knife system for like $180.00!!!

There's NO WAY I'd pay that much for a cheaply made foreign copy.

Anyways, just thought I'd ask.

I thought Rothco was one of the cheap crap brands like Fury and Mtech?

Honestly. If I like an Ontario knife design I look for, and purchase the Ontario made knife.
I got this weird belief that if I pay for the original product, it encourages the manufacturer to continue making and developing products that I may like in the future.

So maybe it is; but hey, its a free world.
Who knows?
Perhaps such pricing may cause someone to
perceived such a product as having
A better than average quality.

They make a pretty decent buffalo plaid flannel but it's not worth the price most retailers charge. :D
