My pocket felt a little empty this morning as I left the driveway so I reached in and my little companion wasn't there. So I looked in the car, not there. Went back inside, not there. I figured I must have left it in my work truck, nope. I've now searched everywhere I can think of and can't find it. My hope is that by posting this thread, magic will occur and my knife will appear. I won't hold my breath. This knife is what has reignited my love of traditionals and has been with me almost all of the time since emigrating to Canada. Anyone else lost their most precious traditional?
The only condolence, I was able to trade off a Chris Reeve knife on a couple of Case-Bose's a while back, one of which is a bnib Dogleg.:) But still...

I found my Tony Bose WT after many weeks of searching! Actually, my wife found it!:o

There is still hope!

That is plain awful! I would be really sad if I lost my Case Bose Dogleg. :(
Someone other than me send him theirs. ;)

Well, I did feel sorry for you until I read you had a backup ;) Maybe it will show up, sometimes they tend to. At least I hope someone who wouldn't appreciate didn't pick it up.

Think back to the last time you had it in your hand and what you were doing with it. Then think back to what you did after that. You may not remember everything at once, but it will come back to you eventually. You may still not recover it if you left it where another person could pick it up, but you may have done something a little unusual, out of your ordinary routine, and it is right where you put it. Did you change pants at any time (I certainly don't know what you were doing or your work hours or anything but check your coat if you wore one, any tool boxes or belts that you use at work, a locker if you have one, desk if you have that.) Just trying to help you jog your memory. I sincerely hope you find it as a friend like that will worry you for a long time if you don't.

My sofa has eaten a few of my knives. Come to think of it, so has my truck...you know, the spot between the seat and the center console. They always cough them up though. Good luck.

This is what makes me nervous about trying out a traditional pocket knife. I'm mostly a pocket clip folder guy. I once lost my Old timer but it eventually turned up under the car seat.
Hope you find it soon.

That's no good, it's real frustrating. Check the garbage, I lost a custom found it, in the bag I had put in the wheelie bin. I had knocked it off the corner table while cleaning up..

Good luck with the search.

You guys are like my search engine - just type in lost and ideas flow. Last I had it was before I finally got a break at around 230. Ran into some sales folks from work at Starbucks so I joined them. On the comfy chairs, even kicked my feet up a bit. I think it slipped out then as I've had it happen at home like that before. Retraced my steps today as I wasn't anywhere near as busy as yesterday, but it was not to be found. It sucks, but it's an awesome day up here weatherwise, plus its a day of personal celebration for me so maybe losing something dear will keep me a little grounded. I was taught growing up and believe not to place too much importance on things where rust destroys and thieves steal, (and I lose) or something like that. I'll just spend the next x amount of time looking for it. I once found a knife in a tire rut in early spring I had lost 3 or 4 months before, wasn't too worse for wear neither, despite being run over by likely hundreds and hundreds of delivery trucks.

(and I have a feeling that it'll show up)

I lost my burke barlow this weekend while hunting. Two cans of snuff and a face mask in my front pocket. It must have pulled out when i was getting snuff or my face mask out. I lost a double blade case trapper maybe 5 years ago i had carried everyday since i was maybe 10 years old. I still think of it once a week. Its like loosing a friend.

Don't hesitate to check the same places two or three times either. I've done that before where you just seem to miss it the first time or two.

Honestly, if you just forget about it and don't look for it, it will probably turn up (at least that's what I keep telling myself with about 100 things I've lost) ;)

You will not sleep until you find it. You will not sleep until you find it. You will not sleep until you find it. You will not.............................

Very good attitude to have. Ok, I'll ask the question, even though I ha... intensely dislike it, yeah, that's it, when my wife asks it of me: Have you asked (you know Who) to reveal it to you yet?

I'm a piler. A pile for everything and everything in its pile. It bugs me to not be able to find something, sometimes to the point of a frustrated panic. And unfortunately these days it's not because my wife rearranged the piles. Its simply because I wasn't paying good enough attention to what I was doing.

Hang in there. Sounds like you're a patient man so I won't say anything about that. If you are to have it back, it will turn up - maybe even where you know it couldn't have been...

Not per say lost it... since I never received Canoes from Mutz (he is fixing it as we speak) nor from fellow forumite yet. So my Traditionals unaccounted for: Two Canoes... First one was... quite special as it was my very first custom ordered slipjoint from Mutz... That sucks.

I can almost guarantee that you will find it in the last place that you look. If you find it and then keep looking, well, then I can't help you.:D
