Well, I hope this matter comes to a peaceful conclusion soon because db (Bill) and sunnyd (Anthony) are friends of mine and I value their presence and contributions on these forums.
And what Anthony said (above) goes for both of them. Though we are friends they have taken me to task in the past (privately via PM) for either remarks or decisions made on the forums and despite any disagreements those friendships remained intact or maybe even strengthened.
I have relied on Ed and Ken for support regarding forum business and know that I can count on them when needed and that they can count on me if they need my help.
I don't always agree with the decions or opinions of other moderators or super moderators but a line must be drawn between how we perceive and act toward them as individuals on the forum and their (oftentime thankless) roles as moderators on the forum.
Disrespecting someone when they are acting in their role as moderator on the forum will have consequences that just differing with their opinions as "members" of the forum will not or should not.
I agree with Bill (and I know that Ed has brought up this very matter in the past) that a moderator involved in a disagreement should not be the one (if at all possible) to take punitive action against a member on a personal matter. I have always tried to recuse myself in such instances and rely on my fellow moderators to take the appropriate actions in those cases.
Anyway, if need be, (in the interest of getting past some of these hurdles) I hope you guys can just agree to disagree and move on.
