I NEED to find a good knife store in the Phoenix area. NOT The Knife Shop! Does it exist?????

There used to be 2 shops I knew of around 19th avenue, unfortunately they both have closed up. The Knife Shop is the only place you can fondle something only seen in pictures. As you know, you will pay full retail for everything there. :grumpy:

sportmans warehouse there are four location in Phx area. One on I17 and frontage road by union hills rd has a large selection of blades at a fair price

Phoenix needs a decent knife retailer than sells quality cutlery. "The Knife Shop" is just plain offensive when it comes to pricing on most things.

It's a sad truth. And they need to be smaller privately owned shops who can get good stocks of custom stuff.

The Sportsman's Wearhouse I may check out but it looks like a Cabellas or Bass Pro Shop.

That one out in Mesa sounds promising.

Sorry not in Phoenix, but here in Sierra Vista, we have An outstanding knife
shop called Trapper Jon's.175 e fry blvd.open Tues thru Saturday.
HUGE SELECTION! all major brands, folders, fixed blades,customs,bowies,
swords,etc etc.Kinda of like nirvana for knife lovers..I've been to a lot of knife stores in my days but none any better! JON really knows his cutlery And is Very friendly. He Also will take trades And has good prices.

Come down to Sierra Vista visit "Trapper Jon" And then head over to Tombstone for Some more Fun

Not sure what exactly you're looking for.

For production, tactical folders - Shooters Vault @ 32nd & Greenway carries a reasonably good selection.

For kitchen knives - a new place opened a while back in Scottsdale specializing in Japanese brands - http://www.phoenixknifehouse.com/index.html

Sounds like we need more representation in the valley. The Mesa store would be closer for me. Chandler/Gilbert would be ideal. Plenty of fire/police folks in the neighborhood. They could use some new Spydies
