Hold up .. wait a minute .. Phil is in town? You get him to stop by and he happens to have that collection with him? Uh huh. You two got something cooking besides the BBQ.
Collusion in the FF community? Never heard of such a thing!

I would think of all people you would know not to mention the secret society so publicly.

BTW, I got to handle lots of your goods. I need some more.
Now that's what I call a Fiddleback Family Reunion......so, which knife ended up with the most barbecue sauce on the handle ?
Thanks for sharing the sweet nectar of the forge. If there ever was a need for a wide angle lens, this was it !
I do need a wide angle. We had to get a step ladder to get high enough to get everything in the pic. Good meat, properly cooked, does not require anything that would mask the taste. But for me, I spent a lot of time handling this one:
It's on an extended visit now.
Other items/observations of note:
My wife wants a patch knife. I liked it more than I thought I would.
I really liked Phil's scandi Terrasaur. Absolutely beautiful spalting.
There were some considerable noted differences between the nessmuks - both regular (differences in the design) and Camp Nessies (weight and balance). We had 3/16 SFT, 3/16 TT, and 5/32 TT camp nessies. Here's a close up of the small design difference between a late 2013 model and a recent blueback Nessmuk. It makes these knives two different animals and the consensus, by far, was for the config on the right.
Phil's modified Monarch was outstanding. I will try a BC Jr. first, but if I see the right Monarch, I may snag it and do the same thing.
There was lots of discussion around the Asp and the Sneaky's. Next mod may be a rampless sneaky.
Phil's new denim BC with racing stripes has the thickest handle of any BC I've ever held. Very interesting.
Phil also brought some examples of new Shadetree. The "electric plum" and "starry night" are winners in my book. I'd buy a knife with those handles. Of course, the "tangerine" is awesome.
