Just back from the show and it was great. There where a lot of super knives and am sure you all will be seeing plenty in the next couple of days. Until then I thought I would share a couple of photos of Ron Newton's Unbeleivable Dogbone, D-Guard, Knife/Gun that was of course voted "Best in Show". It was really no contest, one of the most spectacular pieces I have every laid eyes on. Just amazing work all around.

Hi Mr Klein,

It was great meeting and talking with you!

That Latest shootin Newton was one of the most spectacular knives I have ever seen!!!

Now you're talkin! Shootin Newton has always been my hero. Well deserved award by the looks of this beauty. Thanks Jon for the look.

It does not play just any kind of music... IT ROCKS!!

All the best,
David Darom (ddd)

I think Ron is one of the most talented makers out there and this piece backs me up. Congratulations on another Best of Show.

Nothing less than abolutely spectacular - this piece caused quite the buzz at the show.

I had a fantastic time in Litle Rock and will post up some pics this evening.

Good meeting you Jon - and congrats on thefine new additions!

An absolute outstanding contribution to custom knives.

One of those pieces which will make the broader collectible community 'stand up and take notice of custom knives' if the piece gets the exposure it deserves.

The only regret here is that it wasn't finished soon enough to make David's (ddd) latest book. :(

Mike acquired a few other amazing knives lately as well, that unfortunately will not make it into the book either. It is definitely time for Mike to get his own book to display his amazing collection.:cool:

Kyle and Bruce, all the collectors from CKCA, DDD, all my peers who unselfishly voted the knife best in show, everyone that handled the knife at the Arkansas show, Chuck for his outstanding photography, the new home the knife belongs to, and everyone else, I am humbled at the overwhelming response to this knife. Your compliments are gratefully accepted. Thank you again for all your kindness.

This "shootin Newton" is a very unique and fascinating knife.
I don't think at this time, there are more than 2 other makers who even make these shooting knives.
I am curious, and would like to know if there are any plans for another shooting knife?.
