Armadillo???

I got some from Dewayne last year at the Guild show, backed it with 1/16 Linen micarta and it worked great @ that thickness for a set of scales.

Very interesting! Just when ya think you have seen about everything, along comes something like critter scales. Looks real good, Tod. I'd like to find some of that.
 
interesting, never thought of that, but it sure does finish up well on the handle.

..................now ya know I'm gonna have to goggle armadillo scales and see if i can find some.
 
You learn something new every day...never would have thought of armadillo...whats next? Knives made from turkey's feet? oh wait....nevermind....

I got a hold of Dewayne, and he is sending me several sets, so i will post pics when they get in.
 
David, do you have a shot of one of those in the sheath being worn? I have this image in my head that it would look like you are walking around giving everyone the finger.

For the record, i pulled that off another forum, i did NOT make those, hahahaha! Sorry they are the only pics I have.
 
what does the Armadillo shell sell for (how big a pieces for how much $)
I think wood hardener would work good to stabilize it
