Geez ... what is it with all these Doomsday shows on the History Channel ... the Nostradamus prophecies , killer asteroids , hyper-canes and the galactic alignment that will happen on December 21, 2012 ... which quite coincidently also marks the end of the Mayan calender.

It does seem that the number and magnitude of natural disasters appear to be increasing as we approach this cosmic event. It is still 3 years away but our planet is already experiencing unprecedented, extreme and rapid changes.

Sounds like we could be in for the ultimate SHTF survival situation.

Run for the hills...

I think first quarter of 2009 will have all the SHTF we need.......You've got the long term gloom go'in on! :D :D :D

Nah, we are just hearing more about them.

More population, less survival knowledge, more people standing with their hand out waiting for government assistance.

If armageddon comes, so be it. I don't want to die, but ya have to admit, we could probably use a good survival of the fittest event.

There are still many things that must come to pass (King James Bible) ;)
But it does seem like the world is falling apart & I think we are in for a rough ride. Just my .02 :D

That bible code stuff has me trippin'!!!!
Is there a program I can get to see if there are any codes in 1984??

Yes, that's why I took early retirement in 2006. Had I waited until 2012, I wouldn't get to enjoy it because of the end of the world. As for Armegeddon, I say let all the extemist fundamentalists of all three Abrahamic religions go there to Har Meggido, the Hill of Battles, and have at it. Then maybe the rest of us can have some peace.

What if it is just almost the end of the world ? Armegeddon at least has a happy ending.

every generation make that prediction - way of psychologically making itself feel special.

Reading a pretty good book on that very subject at the moment, "2012: Apocalypse" by Lawrence Joseph. He takes a decent approach to the subject, a rational one. Well he does in the first ten pages I've had the time to read that is :D

That's the way, lovely lovely.

Did you guys hear about tha f ing valcano in yellow stone wth

Pretty scary ... something like 500 earthquakes in a very short time recently.
They don't really know if the volcano will actually erupt soon or even in our lifetime... it's kind of like the expected "big one" in California it's not if but when.
