Washers or bearings?Well the 3 month wait seems to have been worth it! This is my first iMamba, excited to give it a run!View attachment 2351345
Bearings. It’s stiff but I bet it loosens up nicely here in a day or so.Washers or bearings?
Nice, my washers have worn in very nicely, it flicks with ease now and rolls open extremely smooth.Bearings. It’s stiff but I bet it loosens up nicely here in a day or so.
I’ve seen several say that as well, after a nice break in they are glassy. I can slow roll it ish but the detent is a bit tight so far.Nice, my washers have worn in very nicely, it flicks with ease now and rolls open extremely smooth.
I really like the Desert Ironwood inlays they do on these things. If I were to ever get another iMamba for some reason, that's what I'd choose.I changed my order from a PJ to Desert Ironwood inlays. Still sticking to washers and flipper tab. I'm really stoked for this knife and I'm sure it'll be one of my most used and cherished ones.
There is a bearings ironwood in the exchange right now if you don't want to waitI changed my order from a PJ to Desert Ironwood inlays. Still sticking to washers and flipper tab. I'm really stoked for this knife and I'm sure it'll be one of my most used and cherished ones.
Eventually I will get a mammoth tooth, the colors are just so dang cool!I really like the Desert Ironwood inlays they do on these things. If I were to ever get another iMamba for some reason, that's what I'd choose.
Ooo yeah, any sort of mammoth anything is beautiful! I've never owned a knife with mammoth on it, because A: It adds a lot to the price, and B: I'm always a little worried about it's integrity on a knife that I'd use. However you can't beat them aesthetically, and maybe someday!Eventually I will get a mammoth tooth, the colors are just so dang cool!
I hate to be an "I told you so!"Just got my flipper on bearings today. Wow, talk about smooth as glass … I’ve got a few smooth-flipping knives, some ‘budget’, some not-so-budget, but this one is in a league of its own. Not just the action, but everything about it. It’s definitely all that.

I’ve got enough other workhorses that this one won’t be seeing much carry time, if any. Yep, it’s a looker first, but it will still see light use around the house if it happens to be within arms reach when I need it. It’s gonna get ogled and fondled a lot.I hate to be an "I told you so!"they really are worth the hype, the only reason I swapped my inlay for a PJ is that it was too pretty for me to start seeing snail trails on it from carry. I will get a mammoth tooth one eventually, or perhaps one of their fixed blades in mammoth.
