I have a Turaco that I EDC since the knife came out. It gets used quite a lot. Does AB offer a spa treatment for a refresh on their knives? I emailed African Sporting Creations (where I purchased) and they indicated they (ASC) do not offer any kind of service like that.

We’re happy to proceed with the spa treatment. The main challenge is the cost and logistics of shipping the knife to South Africa and back. If the inlay has made from animal material, a permit is required, which make the process more complex. With current shipping rates and added tariffs, the overall cost will be significant—even if we don’t charge for the spa service itself.

No inlay, just a plain Jane Turaco with a stone washed blade. Can you PM the AB address and I’ll check what the cost is. Thanks.

This is why Arno Bernard is some of the best in the business.

That said, I scraped up the clip on one of my iMambas, by riding a swing, playing with my son. Every time I see those scratches I think of playing with him. I wouldn't have that knife spa'ed if you paid me. Marks in titanium are a reminder of adventure. If I had a function or warranty issue, I'd look into the shipping, but I love signs of a loved knife.
