Now sure if this is the correct forum?

But where might i find a arrowhead knife shield?
Possibly a non case version since it'll be going on a rehandeled knife

I'm a big Case Fan but never had to get one of those .
Try contacting Case directly in Bradford, Pennsylvania ?

PS : Looks like a Trapper . That's my favorite knife frame of ANY THING OUT THERE , traditional or modern . Especially the Case Trappers !

naaaaahhh from obsereving the people who work for us for the last several years I must come to the conclusion that you and I may be the last humans on earth that can still do hand work .
If it can't be done on a touch screen , using only one's thumbs THEN IT CANNOT BE DONE !
Though some talk about doing such things . . . IF THEY ONLY HAD A CNC MACHIINE then they would do it . 🤣

Every single person who carries a knife in their pocket on a daily basis . . .
asks me to sharpen it .

No lettering, i like the shape and am going to be rehandling a pocket knife I have. Probably a tl-29, with ebony or wenge, then the arrowhead.
 
It's very sad to see that people no longer know to (or desire the knowledge to) work with their hands.
I'm getting a little long in the tooth, and have found no one locally who wants to learn my trade. The right person could apprentice for a few years and make $150k a year starting out! In a back yard shop!

There is a very young man that is not local who is turning out to be both a fine knifemaker and repairman on his own. I'm communicating with him and hope to help him further his talents.

There are very few qualified cutlers left, and hardly any who work commercially. There are some who "customize" existing knives with filework and handles, but aren't qualified to touch a valuable knife. There are some who are patently dishonest, and some who are bad businessmen.

As I often say : I live in "The Wild Wild West" and I look around and think : so this lot is desended from the ones that settled the west . Wouldn't last two days if they tried it now .

I don't know how much you know / have for tools but you will need this V notched cutting table shown here . I just clamp a length of aluminum in one of my mounted vises rather than clamp or "pin" to the work bench . I like my vises on a free standing pedestal mounted to the floor so lots of room to saw all the way around it .
. I like a much narrower notch for more support ; she is really risking bending the work here but you get the idea . Candle wax on the blade helps too but I cut steel mostly rather than silver .
 
I believe Leading Edge Waterjet sells various shaped shields, but you have to buy quite a few.

Good to know! I think im going to try and make myself a shield. Just have to source a sheet of nickle silver and those tools.

If you are ever flying low over Sante Fe LAND THERE ! ! !
That is the place to shop for this stuff .
Of course you can just order it on line but it is fun to spend time in the shops there .

Another fun store if you are ever visiting Golden , Colorado . . . to go to the Spyderco head quarters . . . hop on over to Boulder just up the road . It has been way too long since I was there (not sure it is still in business ((((does anyone know if it is ? ))) but look for McGuckin Hardware Store ! ! !

Im up in canada :) so ill have to see what stores up here would havecthe nickle silver sheet.
