since mine is inside my HEST handle (with a little dremel work it fits)
I guess you can say mine is for WSHTF, but I'd not hesitate to use it anytime I was out, if the need for it came up.

Once you cut the string that holds it in, it slides right out.
My rationale for using a string is, first off I wanted to utilize the hole in the arrowhead somehow....secondly, I figure this piece isn't something that will go in and out all day long like using your knife. Cut the string, use it, then use a piece of string to tie it back in place.
I used some braided artificial sinew, but anything will work, twine, paracord, etc.

Yeah, wondered myself about that cause I see them on quite a lot of pictures on the forum But no doubt, it has tons of style and "must-have" appeal
